2021 Goals!


Wow, as I sit here and write this, I can not believe 2020 is already over. When I look back at everything that has happened this year, it seems unreal & I just can not believe how fast time went by.



In 2020, I had the best intentions but life got the better of me. Going into 2021, I am setting my intentions, manifesting and setting up steps to get to the end goals. Setting goals for an entire year is tough, this year I want to make sure I am setting myself up for success and helping with any tips for anyone else along the way.


Cook more! 2020 and working from home has given us a great opportunity to start trying new things while we are home. After I moved I started cooking much more and love it. I have been trying new recipes like crazy and want to keep doing that in 2021. I want to bump up my cookbook so I can flip through it and have tons of options! I am going to add at least one recipe to the cook book a month! I am going to share the recipes as I go to help hold myself accountable!


NY Times, this sounds a touch funny but I swear it's not as psychotic as it sounds. I have a weekend NY Times subscription. I want to sit, enjoy a cup of coffee and read the paper every Saturday and Sunday. Sitting and relaxing with my coffee is my favorite part of my day, I need to do a better job at really enjoying that time in the morning and get a little reading done. For some reason sitting with coffee an d the NY Times seems like a really adult thing to do.


Duolingo, I spent my language learning years in school learning French, My brain was never able to really grasp onto learning languages. I want to sharpen up my French skills this year. There is no real reason other than its good to keep learning as you get older. Plus, maybe it'll help manifest a nice romantic trip to France soon. The app is super easy to use, fun and does a great job drilling things into your brain.


Skillshare, I have had a Skillshare membership since April. Unfortunately I have not utilized that membership at all. In 2021 I want to do one Skillshare class a month. To help hold myself accountable I'm going to post about it on Cubicle to CEO Chic.


Happy, well thats a bit subjective thats for sure. I want to remind myself to do things that are going to make me happy instead of sacrificing that for others. Over the past few years, I have been too into making other people happy but I need to prioritize myself. I actually wrote myself a "love note" and stuck it in my planner under inspo AF to look at when I'm having a rough day.


Lastly, manifesting what I'm calling "the big three", I will not be sharing all of the details of these since they are quite personal but I will be sharing a quick overview of each category...

  1. Love, this one is tough for me. I have a really hard time letting people in because I have been burned (really badly) before. This year, I want to open myself up & put myself out there more. I am finally ready to be in a serious relationship again so wherever he may be, send em my way! I actually have reconnected with someone from my past that I would say is perfect for me. Fingers crossed this new year has lots of love in it.

  2. Finances, are never fun or easy to talk about. I do keep a log of how much I've saved but after looking at my spending I know I can do much better! I am going to cut frivolous spending (ordering out by myself, impulse purchases, workout clothes, among other things). I am going to keep setting aside $50 a week into a savings account as well as trying to use cash on any local purchases (I like taking out $300 per paycheck, some I set aside for getting my hair done). I want to increase my financial independence and really beef up my savings so I can buy a place of my own.

  3. Body, is always a work in progress. This year I really let myself go, so much so that my doctor called it out. I am at a place where I am very self conscious about my body and wouldn't be caught dead in a bathing suit right now. I want to get back to a healthy and confident body. Im going to do that by making sure I am intermittent fasting, using portion control, not eating because I'm bored, drinking lots of water, working out 4 times a week.
