2022 we are coming in HOT! The last two years have been interesting to say the very least, I do think we have all learned a lot over them. Personally, I have had a lot of self growth over the last two years, I have been able to figure out what really is important to me, set boundaries and be a bit selfish. I also realized, my New Years resolutions have to have smaller monthly targets! I am going to outline some of my resolutions and post the smaller goals each month! You can bucket my overall goals into four categories: Love, finance, wellness & happiness.
Let's start with love. Yes, this is partly about loving others and relationships, it most importantly is about me. This year I want to be sure I am loving myself and putting energy into all of my relationships (romantic and friends). I need to make sure I am putting the energy into myself and my relationships to show them love and help them grow.
Finances, I hate talking about finances. I will also be the first one to admit that I used to be HORRIBLE with money, as in, I was in some debt due to emotional spending. I am not proud of it but I can share my mistakes and how I work with my finances now. I want to be sure I am not spending on silly things (on a regular basis), make sure I am not ordering food a lot, pay off any cards & save save save!
Wellness, I really let myself go off the rails the past two years. I want to blame it on COVID but the reality is, it's all on me. I over the past two years have gained 20 pounds, not only does that not feel good but that also is not good for my body. I am also well aware changes do not happen overnight but I am going to make small updates and have goals for myself every day to help! I want to get back to feeling confident again!
Happiness, well isn't this an ambiguous topic to work on this year. Most of us will do things we really don't want to do, we also can get stuck in a rut pretty easily. I want to make sure that as much as I can, I am agreeing to and doing things that will make me happy!
Cheers to ringing in the New Year! What are some of your goals for the year?
