Easy Breakfast Ideas
It's wild to think every morning I'd workout, make breakfast, pack a lunch, shower and head out the door all before 8am. I fell through ups and downs with what I was eating on a daily basis, binge eating, fasting, you name it, I was doing it. So, I sat down and looked up "healthy breakfasts that keep me full". Well, a ton of recipes came up so I wanted to try as many of them as I could and find what I really liked!
First up a spinach chia seed putting. This has been my latest obsession, thankfully it is super healthy, super easy to make as well as filling! Grab your Magic Bullet or blender add a few handfuls of spinach (sometimes I also add a banana), a scoop of protein powder (I use chocolate), add milk of your choice to the top of the spinach and a splash of Apple Cider Vinegar. This needs to blend until there are no specks of spinach left! From here I add in a few spoonfuls of chia seeds (trust me you need more than you think you do) stir and place in the fridge overnight. I typically do this in my Magic Blender and screw the lid on and leave it overnight. In the morning, I give it a little stir before putting it in a rocks glass with blueberries ontop. It is super yummy, good for you and filling. It
Banana smoothie takes much less prep and consumption time but is equally as yummy. All you need is a blender (I use my Magic Bullet) toss in some banana, a handful of spinach, scoop of peanut butter or protein powder and a splash of apple cider vinegar. If you have time, you can definitely toss in some chia seeds and pop this sucker in the fridge for a few minutes. It is easily one of the easiest things to consume in the morning, outside of my coffee.
Oatmeal, what a classic am I right. I think we all know how to make this. Either heat up some milk/water of your choice in a sauce pan and stir in the oatmeal until you'r desired texture. OR if you are short on time, pop it all into the microwave! I love topping this with some fruit if I have any and some cinnamon. I prefer this to cereal because I find it sticks to me for longer during the day.
Avocado toast and an egg, what a millennial thing for me to suggest. This is an easy go to during avocado season. It is so easy to pop in your choice of toast, mash up that avocado toss on some Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel seasoning and make an egg! It is yummy, feels elevated and is filling.
