Here we are with some more empty products. 19 empty products to be exact & I'm going to talk about all of them.
Lets start with the fun ones, makeup!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing Mascara - I have been using this for a few years now and I find each tube lasts about 3 months. I love the way it coats my lashes to make them look longer and fuller all day long. This retails for $27 but often can be found on sale.
Laura Mercier Caviar Shadow Stick - Depending on how often you are using the color it can last about 6 months. I think the shadow sticks are a super easy way to get precise coverage. I use them because I like not having to deal with powder falling under my eyes as I apply it. This retails for $29.
PatMcGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Concealer - I have dark under eye circles that I swear are impossible to get rid of. In my quest to find a natural looking concealer that will help hide them I stumbled upon this full coverage one by Pat McGrath Labs. Her products overall are top tier and this is probably my second time purchasing it. I really liked this product for a while and would have repurchased it if a Sephora employee hadn't recommended a new one to me. I could potentially see myself coming back to this formula again, I like the coverage and texture it provided. The tube lasts about 9 months and is $32.
Grande Lash MD Serum - This is a tried and true product of mine that I replace every 3 months. I have been using it for years and absolutely love it. All you have to do is put the serum on your lash line before bed and your lashes look like you could have a light set of extensions in. It does retail for $65 which is a lot but I think its worth it.
Cleé De Peau Lumanizing Face Enhancing Highlighter - The first time I remember using this product was Cinco de Mayo in 2018 (or 2019) When I "finished" this I wasn't actually done with it. I actually dropped the pallet and it shattered. I swear I could have gotten another 2 years of use out of it. I say that understanding I use a little swipe on my cheekbones and noes (so I don't use much). This is by far my favorite for years and I am thrilled that it was in-stock at Nordstrom when this one broke. It is a bit on the expensive side at $95 but keep in mind, it lasts years!
Nars Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30- This used to be the product I would reach for before heading out of the house to even out my skin tone. I love that it has SPF 30 in it but I felt I had better skin tone matches at other brands and that felt better on my skin. This retails for $46.
Skincare, another favorite category of mine that I keep exploring. True to form, not all of these products still exist, which is definitely a bummer.
Replenix UltiMatte Protection SPF 30- THIS is a great product, it has SPF as well as evens out your skin tone and feels amazing on your skin. This is something that I keep in my bag at all times, it is something I will toss on before heading out in the sun if I am putting no other makeup on. My dermatologist is the one who initially recommended this product to me and you can find it on Amazon for $42.
PeterThomasRoth Potent-C Vitamin C Serum - In all honesty, I saw someone on Bravo use this and they have fantastic skin, so I gave it a whirl. This is my second or third time buying this and I think it is worth every penny. It feels amazing going on to your skin and has such great ingredients. Not to mention, Vitamin C is fantastic to help with anti-aging along with other benefits. This is a bit pricy so I try and get it from Sephora when they are having a sale, it costs $98 and lasts about 6 months.
LaNeige Water Sleeping Mask - This product is a great summer hydration to use before you go to bed. It feels nice and cool as you smooth it onto your skin and definitely helps with hydration (especially if you got too much sun that day). For $25 it is completely worth it and lasts about 3 months. In my opinion it is a great starter product if you are looking to get into a routine.
LaNeige Lip Sleeping Mask - This is a holy grail that stays by my bedside, travels with me and is even something my boyfriend goes to grab every night. It is a nice luxurious feeling hydrating lip mask that delivers intense hydration and antioxidants as you sleep. I use it during the day as well so it is not nailed down to your night stand. This lasted about two years and is only $22.
Curel Daily Healing Lotion - I grew up with my mom using this forever, so naturally in my adult life, I went and bought it. I like that it does not feel oily as I put it on my skin. You can find it at any drugstore, Target, Walmart or grocery store for about $8.
Nivea Nourishing Body Wash - This lasted in the shower for about 4 months. I don't think I'll buy it again, no particular reason but I just like Dove better.
Now for the goodies that are no longer in production:
OleHenriksen Truth Juice Daily Cleanser - I thought this was a great product to use every morning. It had vitamin C in it and felt like it was waking up your skin. It was also gentile enough to ensure it isn't stripping anything from your skin. This lasted about 7 months and was used every morning.
Dr Dennis Gross All In One Cleanser with Toner - I was OBSESSED with this product and am heartbroken that it no longer exists. I used one or two pumps every morning and put it on dry skin, and followed up by wetting my hands and massaging it into my skin. It was a cleanser and toner and left my skin feeling amazing, I hope they bring this back, especially since it lasts about a year.
Dr Dennis Gross Pore Perfecting Cleansing Gel - I feel like I used this product at night to help take off my makeup and the ick of the day. It was fine for a cleanser and lasted about 7 months.
First Aid Beauty 5-in-1 Face Cream SPF 30 - This was a staple of mine for probably two years. Each tube lasted about three to four months. It had SPF and other anti aging properties attached to it. The tube was also a nice size to toss into your bag and go.
Last but not least, hair products
Batiste Volumizing Dry Shampoo - I don't know about you, but I have been trying to find a dry shampoo I actually like the way it feel sand smells, I am not sure why thats so hard to find. I do think this has come the closest to that so far. I get them in a pack of 3 from Amazon for $19.
Function of Beauty Shampoo & Conditioner - I have been a long customer of FoB, I go through a bottle of their product about every 6-7 months depending on how often I need to wash my hair. Part of what I love so much about this is that I can keep changing the formula based off of my current hair needs. They also hav a ton of additional products that can be focused on YOU.
