Favorite Kitchen Gadgets

Thats right, I'm a twenty something that loves to cook and bake (especially during quarantine). I know, it sounds so typical and basic but you know what, maybe you can benefit from it! I have always really loved cooking and baking but quarantine has given me the opportunity to really take it to the next level. So, lets start with some basics that you can not go wrong with:

Pyrex measuring cups, they are glass, microwave and dishwasher safe. These come in a pack of three from Amazon, a 1 cup, 2 cup and 4 cup measuring cup! They are super great for measuring and melting things. These are a hard core necessity and if you don't have room to store all three I recommend getting the 2 cup measuring cup!

Cutting Boards, I like this set of three from Amazon. They come in a bunch of different colors and the different sizes are great. Overall, it is super nice to be able to have the sizes to pick from depending on what you need to cut.

Measuring spoons, yep these always come in handy when you are baking and cooking. I personally really like these metal ones.

Pots and Pans, To be honest, my pots and pans are a mish-mosh of different sets. Some are as old as from college... My favorites are a great 10" fry pan, I cook everything in it as well as a medium sized pasta pot! If I were to replace them I would get this set. They are eco friendly, toxic free and amazing.

Random Utensils, this is a great starter set of kitchen utensils, It has all the necessities you'll need as well as a holder. As you go along you'll end up getting some nicer ones or just some that end up being your favorites.

Hand mixer, I got this for Christmas one year and use it all the time. It's great for making mashed potatoes, cookies and anything in between! It is under $50 and something I highly recommend every kitchen has.

loaf pan, this is simply because I love making banana bred and apple cinnamon loaf. If you plan on making loaf/breads on a regular basis you need a sturdy non stick loaf pan.

Fry pan (with lid), I can not tell you how great this pan is. I love that it is non-stick, it has enough room to cook a lot at one time and the lid is such a life saver. I can't believe how hard it is to actually find a good fry pan with a lid.

Baking sheet, this set is great, I like that it comes with two sheets, cooling rack and a silicone sheet to help with cookie placement. Its a great little starter set.

pyrex pan, I use these all the time, you can use it for lasagna, enchiladas, roasting veggies and so much more! Plus they are indestructible and can be used for so much.

Mixing bowl set, This is a standard that you should have. Not only will you use them a lot but its great that they have lids. It will keep food fresh and because of all the sizes they are so versatile.

Of course I think you also need things like a coffee maker, paper towel holder, rubber gloves (for washing dishes) & a toaster. Since we are talking about cooking and baking specifically I don't want to bore you with why I love all of these other items.

Now, some extra fancy tings. These are things that I've gotten as gifts or saved up a bit for, every one of these things I use at least once a week.

KitchenAid Mixer, specifically the Artisan 5qt stand mixer. This is my holy grail product and its so pretty in the Matte Black I have it in. I use it for shredding chicken, baking, spiralizing pasta and so much more. It is expensive but keep your eyes out for sales from places like William Sonona & Bed Bath & Beyond.

Blender, I actually don't have a "nice" blender, I just have a single serve blender for now to make daily smoothies in. I really would love to get this 3-in-1 blucer (blender, juicer & everything in between. It is expensive but I am hoping it goes on sale somewhere soon!

Frother, I don't know about you, but, I crave a latte every once in a while. This will froth hot or cold, I end up using it a few times a week! This is a nice entry level one, easy to clean and very efficient.

Dutch oven pot, these are great for soups, stew's and so much more. I use it all the time in the winter. I'd recommend getting a 5qt size to start off with. It can be used for a one cook on a family or you could do what I do and cook one night and pop it in the fridge!

Outside of these items that I'm in love with. You should have fun in your kitchen! It should be a showcase of who you are. I have funny coffee mugs, my straws on display and pretty dish towels. It should be a happy place you want to be in.
