October 2020 Goals
Every month, I have a few goals in mind but sometimes I have a hard time completing them all. I am not sure if that has to do with the fact I am perfectly content being at home, I'm overloaded with work or what it is. I wanted to share out my goals for the month, they are small but things I need to keep top of mind this month.
Log in my habit Tracker. I have a habit tracker from Cloth & Paper. I set it up for September with four things I wanted to track everyday (Water intake, reading, weight & workouts). Unfortunately, I didn't end up tracking at all in September. The good news is October is a new month and will be a good reminder to get back into it. I want to track:
My daily water intake to ensure I am drinking enough
Read 30 mins a day four days a week, I like doing this before bed.
Weigh myself every day. Yeah it sounds psychotic but will help me get back on track.
Workouts, I want to work out 4 times a week to get back on track.
Read at least one book. Reading has always been super important to me and a great way to wind down at the end of the day. I love reading for a half-hour to shut my brain down at the end of the day. Id love to finish the book I am currently reading (The Coddling of the American Mind: How Good Intentions and Bad Ideas Are Setting Up a Generation for Failure) as well as start a new one!
Do two SkillShare classes. I signed up for and have paid for a year of SkillShare subscription, I really need to start using it. They have so many great things on there that I have a ton of interest in up-skilling myself on! Time to start using what I'm paying for!
Be social at least once a week. This is a tough one for me. I talk on video calls all day for work, once that is over I really just want to tap out and be a bit of an introvert and recharge my batteries. Plus after work is when I have time to work on Cubicle to CEO Chic. Between that and the fact I love chilling and being cozy I havent been super social. I want to be sure I am getting out and doing something fun at least once a week.
Workout 4x a week, I used to be so good with this, especially when I was going to work in the city full time. Now unfortunately, I have been in a bit of a rut last month. Time to get back on the wagon and start being active again. I want to workout at minimum 4 times a week! That could be walking, yoga, pilates, you name it!
AB blaster program, I really let myself go. I really need to whip myself back into shape and fast! In college we did something called "ab blaster". Im going to be doing it for 30 days (hopefully) and really get myself mentally back int he game, it'll make me feel physically and mentally better.
Don't order meals! This one is tough one! It is so easy at the end of a long day to want to just be lazy and not cook dinner. I want to make sure I am not wasting money on ordering out (especially since I do meal delivery kits & have food at home). I will order out if I'm with friends or something but I don't want to do it by myself!
