Things I bought February...
Veja Sneakers, a while ago my white sneakers ripped and I took, probably too long to replace them. I did a ton of research and ended up getting Veja sneakers! I am so happy with how comfortable they are and how easy they slip on/off. Ontop of that, they are so easy to wear around all day. My only complaint is they only come in full sizes, the 7 would have been a bit too small but the 8 is a touch too large. I also ended up ordering these velcro ones to try and be hip, lets see if I can really pull it off...
The Daily Edited phone case. I LOVE a good monogram and a good phone case. I have been eyeing Morgan Stewarts phone cases for a while now and went to the website she ordered from. Back in January I got a navy leather phone case with my initials in light pink with a burgundy drop shadow on it. I like it so much that I wanted another one that will vibe a bit more with spring. The order details of the one I ordered this time are below. Want one like mine or to try some other combos, click here to try it out!
Smartwool ski socks, I only go skiing a few times a year so I don't need to replace items very often. I want to be sure that I keep my body nice and warm and the Smartwool socks are well known as being amazing! I replaced my old Smartwools with new ones. You'll see in the below photo that there is a pink box on the shin of the units, that is actually some extra padding so when you lean forward on your skis you don't get bruised. These are the best ski socks I have come across.
Summer salt bikini. As you guys know, I am still in the process of getting back in shape after letting myself go a bit. So, I wanted to order a Summer and Salt bikini to see how they fit. I ordered the below suit but lets be real, it did not look like that on me. I have large boobs so sometimes it is hard to find tops that fit in both the rib area and in the chest area. I ended up keeping the bottoms and returning the top. I figured the bottoms can go well with a plain black top I have.
Melissa Shoes. Last year I didn't get behind the Birkenstock trend, I just felt they made my feet look way too wide and just weren't my style. I saw these on Bloomingdales website, they weren't super expensive and I have seen amazing reviews about this brand. I got them in a size 8 since they don't have half sizes and they fit fine plus the padding on it is so soft and cushiony! I'll wear these a lot in the spring/summer. I can already see the cute outfits with ripped jeans and white jeans.
Sephora: yes, again I bought things from Sephora. This month it was mostly a restock month but I needed to find a new night cream with retinol. Before I get ahead of myself, lets talk about the restock items:
OLEHENRIKSENThe Clean Truth™ Foaming Cleanser: I love this bad boy, I use it every morning in the shower. It does a great job cleansing my skin without drying it out & ontop of it the smell wakes me up.
OLEHENRIKSENFind Your Balance™ Oil Control Cleanser: I use this almost every night (if I do not use the Tatcha Rice Powder). It does a nice job getting all of the impurities out of my skin, leaving it feeling refreshed for the evening before I put on some of my night goodies.
Every night, ontop of a moisturizer I also use the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil and Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum. I have been using these for over a year now and love them, I am just really bad at knowing if these products are working or not, especially since I started an entirely new routine instead of easing new products in.
Now for the NEWbie product in my recent Sephora Haul... For the last year I was using the Clinique iD™: Moisturizer + Concentrate for Pores & Uneven Texture I think it has done a good job but I wanted to change it up and add a product with additional anti-aging benefits to it. I decided to try OLEHENRIKSEN Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Crème. I havent tried it yet but am looking forward to it, especially since the reviews are mixed. One of the biggest complaints are the smell and thickness of it...
Until next time,
