Things I Bought June
Still in quarantine, still making some unnecessary purchases!
Bar Cart from Overstock: For quite a while I was debating getting a new bar cart. I was super torn between a few but then I saw this one and it just spoke to me. I love the odd layout of the shelves and it just feels super unique. Unfortunately, due to Corona it will take a little over a month to arrive.
Fathers Day Mug: My dad is literally the best human ever so he deserves the best gift. But what do you get the man that doesn't want or need anything?? You get him a selfish mug and pack it full of some of his favorite candy! See what else I recommend for Fathers day or any gifting day for dad in my Fathers Day 2020 Post!
Nasty Gal, I was influenced by Paige Desorbos Instagram outfit deets to finally look on Nasty Gal. I was always hesitant to try some
Sephora, At this point the month I don't get something from Sephora is really when the world is going to end. This month I did hte same as normal with a little replacement and a little newness action.
Amika Hair Wave, I have always wanted to try one of these, especially since I think they'd work great with my hair. I settled on this one because its has an Allure Best of Beauty Seal! It was $120 so it is a bit of an investment but its worth it if you'll use it on a regular basis.
GUCCI Rouge à Lèvres Satin Lipstick, yeah I bought another lipstick. I was super hesitant but am in love with the packaging, how pretty is it! So I pulled the trigger on a nude it is expensive so it better be an amazing lipstick!
Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Berry, this sucker is an old faithful for me. I ordered another one during the sale Sephora had in April. Unfortunately, that extra one is at my apartment and I couldn't find the one at my parents place for three weeks. About 12 hours after I ordered this new one, I found the one I already had open. Oh well, you literally cant have too many of these!
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40, yes, I caved to buy one of the Supergoop products. In my defense, I was searching for a gel based moisturizer with SPF for the summer. I actually really love it and it's not crazy expensive for the amount of product you have to use. I actually plan on keeping this in my beach bag all summer.
Murad, this is the first time I've ordered this brand and I wanted to try two different kinds. I ended up comparing all of their products and getting the Perfecting Day Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 and the Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 . They both had great reviews on Sephoras website. The Perfecting Day Cream is supposed to be hydrating and provide skin protection as well as dealing with fine lines, I cant see this being my every day cream but it could be a decent backup. The ANti-Aging moisturizer, also is moisturizing & has sun protection the biggest draw to me was all of the anti-aging properties it has.
What would a month be without an Amazon order? This time the order isn't super fun, I noticed one of my plants was dying and did some research. Turns out it had spider mites on it! How gross is that? So I did a ton of research and found out that the two things they recommend to do are take the plant outside and spray it down with a hose on a higher pressure nozzle. This is supposed to knock any of the little suckers as well as the webs off the plant and then left it outside for a while. Then I ordered Doktor Doom Spider Mite Knockout, its safe for plants and veggie crops. I hope it does a decent job getting rid fo the suckers and that the plant can come back to its full self!
Until next time,
