Things I bought March
Updated: Apr 4, 2020
Sephora
Well, it wouldn't be at Things I Bought post if I didn't hit up Sephora. This time I wandered in after a long day of work, thankfully I had self control this time.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Natural Skin Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF 30: This is the second iteration of the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer that i've had. The last iteration of the tinted moisturizer I tried from them felt very heavy on my face, by that I absolutely hated it and returned it. This one was formulated much differently, I absolutely loved the way it spreads on my face, how light it feels & how the color blends. Overall I love that it has the SPF in there as well as how it finally meets up to my standards of the brand.
NARS Afterglow Lip Balm: I have been using this product since it came out. I figured since I love the Orgasm blush I'd like this. So once I tried this I was sold. I love the fact that pulls the natural colors from your lips and enhances them. It also leaves my lips moisturized as well as a bit of a shine. If you are looking for a subtle hint of color this is for you.
HOURGLASS Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil: I think eyebrows are such an important part of your face. For a while I was using the Tom Ford brow sculptor, I liked it but it was crazy expensive, after that I don't remember what I was using but I was okay with it. I did a ton of research before I bought this, I looked back into Bobby Brown, Anastasia & so many others. This one had the best reviews and had a nice dirty blonde to match my natural brow color, I love the tip & fluidity of the pencil. This is my second time getting it and I cant imagine going to another one anytime soon. Plus it is an Allure beauty winner, you really cant go wrong.
LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm: I picked this up because I was really looking for the Lip Sleeping Mask (see below I ended up buying it in another store). I figured I like the night lip mask so why not try the day portion of this. I actually bought this thinking that it may be able to replace the night mask, I was mistaken. I ended up really liking this product, I usually put it on when I am just hanging out but don't normally wear it to work. I say that because I feel it makes my lips a bit to shiny and it has a bit of a stickiness to it. Overall, it does a great job at hydrating my lips and thats all it needs to do.

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask: This is not a product I would have ever sought out to buy myself, it came in a sample pack from Sephora. At first, I was really put off by the smell of it but after sleeping with it on a few nights in a row I ended up starting to love it. I adored waking up and having my lips still have product on it & still feeling hydrated. I never pictured myself ever restocking on something as trivial seeming as a specific night lip mask but here we are.
Sephora Collection Eye Mask: I have been using these for years. I am not actually sure if they do anything or not but I keep repurchasing them. they do leave a nice layer of serum post the wear. I am also one of those people that will throw eye masks on and go about my day and take them off after an hour instead of 15 mins. My go to's are:
- Pomegranate - Anti-fatigue & Energizing
- Cucumber - Soothing & de-puffing
- Pearl - Perfecting & Brightening
DR. JART+Lover Rubber Masks: These two step process masks are a must for me, even though I only buy them when I they are in sale. The two step process is nice, post cleaning your face put the jelly pod on. What I normally do is put the pod on in phases so I use the entire pod. I'll do three or four rounds of adding the pod to my face before I put the mask on. I always feel refreshed when I take the mask off. As a note, the only mask I don't use fro this Lover collection is the Clear Skin one, I like wash off masks for that.
CHANEL CHANCE Crayons de Parfum: I have been using Chanel Chance perfume for over 10 years at this point. It is a staple for me to spritz on before a night out or some fun occasion. In the last year or two, I bought the smaller replaceable spray to keep in my purse. These little crayon sticks are perfect for a touch up. I do not think they are supposed to be for an all day wear but for a quick touch up post work on the way to a date. For those purposes, this is perfect. i keep it in my work bag as well as another one in a clutch for going out at night on the weekends.
Flowers from the farmers market: I now work by Union Square and every Wednesday they have a cute little farmers market. This week, I was wandering by and picked up some pre dried flowers from the market which means no maintenance necessary from my end! It is a nice colorful way to brighten up a room and have little to no upkeep.
In the bottom by my bed you'll see a nice little white thing with some glows of blue. That is my new favorite thing, my air purifier! I live in an old building and it gets quite dusty easily and with the spring coming in hot I want to make sure when my windows are open no allergies act up. This guy has three different settings, one is high with the light on, the second is low with the light on and the third is low with no light on. I have been sleeping with the low no light on setting but when I wake up and get home from work I turn it on the higher setting. So far I think it has been working but I will keep everyone posted!

VERB energy: Yes, I was influenced by many influencers who had these on their Instagram. Overall I gave the four pack a try where you only pay for shipping. After that I was sold! I tried all four flavors and I liked all four (favorite is peanut butter). They make it so easy to sign up and get reoccurring shipments by text alerts (text them, whenever, at 415-915-8372). These are much smaller than I thought they would be but provide a much needed caffeine boost! I flip back and forth between snacking on it first thing in the AM or around 1PM as a post lunch pick me up.
